Today we are asking you to come out to Mc Stews to the benefit to help out rock reporter Lynn Ramae who just had a brain tumor operation. The benefit is a Beef n/ Beer - Tickets are: $25 advance and $30 at the door...see 10 great local bands plus there are all sorts of prizes to be won. A TV, beer coolers, Dinners for Two to the Buck Hotel, Mirrors, specialty T -shirts and so much more. The time is from 1pm to 7pm at Mc Stews on New Falls Rd in LEVITTOWN PA., ( all the beer you can drink and all the food and of course all the music from 10 great bands)...SEE ya and try and make a stop over to show your support.

Note: all proceeds will go to help LYNN pay her medical expenses!

For the rest of the summer we are talking off with our OOT after work party on Fridays. Coming up in late September look for the tradition to continue each Friday after work at a new location. Join me, Mikey V from OOT along with DJ MIBBS and other guest DJ's...We also will have more prizes and giveaways coming - more then any other happy hour party you will see out there. So stayed tuned and get ready for the fall - it is just right around the corner.

You will know when its an OOT after work party - You will see the Out On The Town Banner plus you will be seeing all the cool giveaways... plus the music we all grew up with from the 60's,70's,80 and 90's !

Tonight was something to see over at "PHILA PARK CASINO" with the WMGK BATTLE OF THE BANDS....NOTICE TO ALL: TONIGHT'S winner who will go on to the WMGK FINALS are the DEAD POETS from DELAWARE COUNTY ( they will have a shot of being the opening band at a summertime WMGK CONCERT EVENT in front of 40,000 people.)
Three bands went up on the stage at the Casino ...the first band was Spur of the Moment and they really set the tone and got the crowd going...the second band was just amazing playing classic rock the way it should be - hats off to The BUG HUNTERS...and then, the DEAD POETS TOOK the stage and just got the crowd into the palm of their hands. They won tonight fair and saquare....In the new OOT paper, you will be able to read about what went on - Special thanks to all the bands that played in the contest and to the staff at WMGK. From the De Bella Morning show DJ Rob Calvert was an excellent mc and host / Hats off to the staff at PHILA PARK CASINO - great job and your bar rocked!

CONGRATUALTIONS to the DEAD POETS...WMGK has a great summertime promotion here.....and OOT was glad to be a judge tonight.

The place to check out is the Philly Park Casino, in Bensalem Pa., later today! - as WMGK 102.9 FM will host thier annual battle of the bands search for the new WMGK house band. "Out On The Town" will be in the house, This is Mike Vagnoni and I will be there as a judge and once again, ( this is our second year in row as being asked to be a judge for one of these great events..) we will see what some of the area's best bands have to offer. We will take out the OOT CAMERA and see if we can snap some photos....WMGK rocks!....SEE you later this evening at the PHILLY PARK CASINO on STREET ROAD in BENSALEM PA...( this is just one of many events WMGK will offer in their search for the next WMGK HOUSE BAND! )
