The Union, www.theunionrocks.com, is an awesome cover band, playing clubs all over the Delaware Valley. “Energy’ sums up a Union performance in one word. The bands motto has been that they want to throw a party every night. They don’t want to be rock stars; they want to be part of the party. At a typical show the crowd is singing and dancing with the band during their sets, then drinking and laughing with the band between sets.

But behind the band’s over the top energy and party atmosphere is five talented musicians. The band is known for their awesome 4 part harmonies, diverse play list, and remarkable musicianship. The Union can cover songs ranging from “Runaround Sue’ to “Mr. Brightside’ to “Spiderwebs’ to “Any Way You Want It’. They are a true party band that aims to show their audience a great time every night.

The Union has been playing the club scene for almost a year now. The band debuted in January of 2005 and has quickly made a name for themselves, playing rooms such as 15 North, Brownies 38th St., The Lagoon, The Ridge, The Whiskey Tango, Pickle Barrel, Fager’s Island, Carney’s, and The Quarter Deck to name a few. In every venue they have left the crowd energized and screaming for more.

The dynamic Terese Foley fronts the band. Terese combines a powerful female voice with a body that never stops flailing about the stage. She commands a crowd like no other, dancing and partying with the audience. No matter whether she is leading the crowd to do the Footloose dance or mingling at the bar she is always accessible and friendly. Do not pigeon hole this awesome talent as a female singer because she is much more than that. She is a phenomenal front person.

On lead guitar is the multi talented English Mike Cassam. English Mike is the maestro of the band. He leads the band as a crafty guitarist all night long and lead singer on about 10 songs a night. When not wielding his guitar on the edge of the stage you can find Mike enjoying a Guinness at the bar. Mike has had a Guinness everyday since Labor Day.

If you look across the stage you will find the craziest Keyboardist around, Jack Kolber. Somebody forgot to tell Jack that keyboardists stand behind their instrument. Jack’s keyboard may start on the right side of the stage but it rarely stays there. Watching Jack you will see him hump, bang, and toss his Triton all over the stage. And then for about 10 songs a night Jack leaves his keyboard to front the band, where his awesome stage energy is uninhibited by his keyboard.

Terry Conrad, aka Captain Awesome, holds down the bottom end on the bass. The newest member of The Union brings incredible chops and that tall skinny rock star persona to the band. A great performer and one of the funniest guys you will ever meet. If you are lucky maybe he will even sing The Captain Awesome theme song for you.

Behind the drums is Grasso. A rock behind the drums, the powerful Grasso pounds a steady cadence for this energetic bunch. An admitted Jager lover, you can always find Grasso near the bar, probably doing a shot or ten.

The Union will be at Kildare’s in Media for New Year’s Eve. Check them out on the web at www.theunionrocks.com. The Union is managed by Apollo Artists Attractions, www.appolloartists.com. Please contact Eli Sentman at 610-328-6500 for all bookings.
