The members of Jamison hail from Philadelphia and the New Jersey area. The band features a straight rock beat blended with traditional Irish dance music to form a unique sound that is guaranteed to keep the crowd dancing. The band has taken many forms in its three-year existence. The band originally formed as One Road in 2003. Donegal Jevy, Sarah Post, and Darrin Krug joined One Road at the end of 2003. To add a more rock sound and touch to the band, Dave Lynd, Bass player and former member of popular bands American Dream and Mace was added to the fold, and the band was renamed Jamison. In 2004, John O'Callaghan, just finishing his stint with the Irish band Common Ground, replaced Jevy as Lead Singer/Front man for Jamison.
In 2005, Jamison had made many strides in the Philadelphia area Irish/Rock scene. Jamison has appeared on Fox Good Day Philadelphia's promotion of the 2005 Penn's Landing Irish Festival. Jamison was also a Headline band for the Phoenixville Concert Series in the summer of 2005. The band can also be found on the Jersey Shore as well as the tri-state area. Jamison has performed at all shore points, from Atlantic City to Wildwood, NJ, including the Anglesea Pub, The Boardwalk Bar & Grill, The Oceanic Pool/Tiki Bar and will be performing again at Maloney’s Irish Pub in Atlantic City on March 17, 2006.
Jamison is also becoming widely known among popular cover rock bands in the Tri-state Area. Jamison has shared the stage with such popular bands as: Animal House, The Naturals, and The Interns, just to name a few.
In 2006, the band is looking to record its first CD, which will contain some new original music as well as some popular standards. With this repertoire and the over the top energy rarely seen in an Irish band, Jamison is steadily rising among the ranks of the East Coast Irish music scene.
