Many, many years ago, I thought about doing an Out On The Town Entertainment Guide/ only because of the need..."YES" a VOID was there...and for that reason, I took myself off the band stage after 9 great years, and started in the path of advertising and marketing and PR. YOur OOT was designed first as a working TV SHOW...This paper is just that....Had to gear this towards a local industry that for way too long - was just taken for granted. No one really cared about the local bands and DJ's and the men and women that work day after day, night after night in our Entertainment / Hospitality Industry. Well, with your continued support OOT has made it thru the hard times...and even today with the way things have been going, we are still as strong as and still have the passion for what we do here at Out On The Town. Our loyal staff of contributing writers bring you to a world of great music information that you might only find in places like Rolling Stone but we do this in the OOT each ISSUE with EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS AND THE BEST IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - WHY?... we do this just for your understanding of our music scene and what people are really thinking and doing as they climb that road to greater heights in the biz. Our website has been online for 8 years and this is used as a tool to interact the paper for the new generations of people on - line....( We have a complete new site coming at you in SEPTEMBER and this will take us to a new heights in entertainment marketing and PR ) I hope you will like what you will see. We have had hours of meeting to make this all happen and very soon you will see the fruits of these meetings on your computer screen.
THE ROAD TO KEEPING THE OOT ALIVE:
IT has not been an easy road and every week since I started the OUT ON THE TOWN...it is still a learining process. I can promise you this..SERVICE and the desire to get RESULTS with the LOWEST IN PRICES IS for everyone we call a client. This is what I strive for every day. No matter what level an account may be, I will treat everyone fair and with the same professional manner ( Yes, no matter what size of an ad someone may take out in our paper or what size they might want to see on the new ONLINE WEBSITE COMING....)ALL are clients are treated the same way.!!! Over the years, I have come to respect this Industry and with that respect have directed all our energy in creating the best Out On The Town can be - with constant change to keep up with all there is to keep up with for your enjoyment and for your use as a tool in this Indsutry.
We are not the biggest paper out there by any means...as a matter of fact OOT is one of the smallest one's out there..but our pattern of distribution is so unique. We can make such in impact and spark attention to any event or bar/club or local beer promotion. Our concept is what it is - "STRONG" we know where to place the papers for a better return for you.... We do not go cheap on the distribution and will drive to where we have to be...Our loyal readers are the hard core bar goer's...IF we can reach only 50 people per location..and drive them out to your location or event...we are doing the job. This last year has been a very hard year for many out there in the daily grind of driving all over this great Delaware Valley area...I want you all to know that we are doing all that we can to keep the OOT out there ... and by adding in the INTERNET - it has opened more eyes to our every growing entertainment scene in our area. We have people who don't go out now checking out each ISSUE online. And we do know we are given them a reason to want to think about going out...we motivate them....
People are now finding they can read each ISSUE on line antime they wish. This is such an added plus...more things are coming to give you more of a PLUS when you use OOT....so thanks for the support and we are here to bring you the best there is in the local entertainment scene. You have to have a passion to make something like this work and for years, my passion, our passion - has been growing and I will do all I can to keep this passion alive for the future. Our small staff are people who work in this INDSUTRY for a living...they too feel the passion and know what it can bring to them at the locations they work at...so all in all - your Out On The Town Entertainment Guide is just getting better with each passing Issue. We are not a corporate giant, we are not a weekly or a daily. You know what OOT is and you are all that matters.
